Rohrbruch an 12-Zoll-Wasserleitung überflutet Straßen in Iztapalapa

Ein Bruch in einer Trinkwasserleitung verursachte am vergangenen Samstag Überschwemmungen und den Verlust von Tausenden Litern Wasser in Iztapalapa.

Bürgermeisterin Aleida Alavez Ruiz berichtete, dass sich der Vorfall im Bereich der Unidad Habitacional Vicente Guerrero entlang des Anillo Periférico ereignete. Der Bruch einer 12-Zoll-Leitung mobilisierte das Personal der städtischen Dienstleistungsabteilung des Bezirks. Alavez Ruiz erklärte, dass die Behebung des Lecks noch am Tag der Meldung erwartet werde. Verkehrspolizisten machten die Behörden auf den starken Wasseraustritt aufmerksam. Das Sekretariat für integrales Risikomanagement und Katastrophenschutz sowie die heroische Feuerwehr von Mexiko-Stadt koordinierten Maßnahmen zur Senkung des Wasserspiegels. Das Leck trat inmitten der heißen Jahreszeit und während bestehender Wasserversorgungsprobleme in der Hauptstadt auf.
