The 21-year-old prospect recorded three walks, a triple, a stolen base and two RBIs in his debut. His performance marked a rare feat, as he became the first player since at least 1900 to achieve that combination in a single game.
Ewing reached base safely four times in five plate appearances during the Subway Series matchup. He drew a seven-pitch walk in his first at-bat, stole a base in the sixth inning and later pulled a 104.2 mph pitch for an RBI triple down the right-field line. The center fielder also worked a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning to cap his productive day at the plate.
