Brunello Cucinelli presented its spring 2027 menswear collection in Milan while its founder attended a film festival in Shanghai. The lineup emphasized cashmere knits and reimagined tailoring.
The founder skipped the usual Milan presentation to attend the Shanghai International Film Festival screening of a Giuseppe Tornatore documentary on his life and philosophy. The collection was dedicated to the contemporary man who refuses imposed definitions.
Key items included cable-knit cardigans, crew necks and half-zips in blues, sage green, apricot, orange and raspberry. These pieces received staged garment dyeing and resin treatment to create contrast between raised knit areas and darker zones.
Tailoring featured broad-lapelled jackets in washed white linen and seven-ounce indigo denim. Formal pieces mixed with casual elements, such as a navy dinner jacket paired with white pleated trousers and a white pinstripe blazer styled with a sweater and cargo trousers.
Safari jackets appeared in pale gray washed cotton and dark brown suede, while leather blousons and biker jackets showed surface abrasion effects.
