Finals set for Lowveld Padel Franchise League after delays

After more than four months of competition marked by rain delays, the Lowveld Padel Franchise League approaches its conclusion with finals in three divisions. The second season, which began in September 2025, now features established contenders in the men's and ladies' categories. Matches are scheduled for February 7 and 9, 2026.

The Lowveld Padel Franchise League, in its second season, kicked off in September 2025 with the intention of wrapping up by December. However, persistent rain and other factors pushed back the schedule, extending the excitement into early 2026. This year, the league expanded to include three divisions: Men's Premier, Men's Championship, and a new Ladies Division, drawing strong participation from local players in the Lowveld region.

Hundreds of matches have been played across the season, with competitors showcasing their skills in intense rallies. Now, the focus shifts to the finals. In the Ladies Division, the semi-final took place on February 5, setting up a showdown against the Lunar Lillies on February 7. The Men's Championship Division final will pit the Desert Falcons against the Globo Boomerangs, also on February 7.

The Desert Falcons have momentum heading into the Men's Premier Division final. Their representative team secured a spot with a hard-fought 5-1 victory over the Kick Smashes at Play360 on February 2. Each of the six matches was closely contested from the outset. The Premier final will see the Falcons face the Sonic Viboras on February 9.

This culmination promises thrilling action for padel enthusiasts in Nelspruit and surrounding areas, highlighting the growing popularity of the sport in the community.
