Forecr introduces Jetson Thor industrial PC with advanced networking

Estonia-based Forecr has launched the DSBOX-THRMAX, an industrial box PC powered by NVIDIA's Jetson Thor T5000 module. Designed for robotics and edge AI applications, it offers high-performance computing and multi-sensor support. Availability began in September with base pricing at €6,085.

The DSBOX-THRMAX targets high-compute-density tasks in robotics, autonomous machines, and edge deployments requiring real-time processing and sensor fusion. At its core is the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 module, delivering up to 2070 TFLOPS of AI performance in FP4 sparse precision. It features 128GB of 256-bit LPDDR5X memory with 273GB/s bandwidth, suitable for large models and multi-camera pipelines.

Storage options include an M.2 Key-M 2280 slot over PCIe Gen5 x4 and a secondary M.2 Key-M 2242 slot using PCIe Gen5 x2. For connectivity, the system provides a Gigabit Ethernet port via RJ45 and a QSFP28 interface supporting four 25GbE links, ideal for high-bandwidth applications. Display capabilities encompass two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and USB-C output with DisplayPort support.

I/O interfaces cater to industrial needs, including RS-232/422/485 serial, CAN bus, and isolated digital I/O with two 12–24V inputs and three outputs. An optional configuration adds support for up to eight GMSL2 camera connections, enhancing vision-centric systems. USB ports consist of one 3.2 Type-C with DisplayPort, one for recovery, and a debug USB-C. Power input ranges from 18–32 VDC.

Software compatibility includes Ubuntu Linux 24.04 and NVIDIA JetPack 7.0, providing access to CUDA and AI toolchains. Onboard components feature an IMU, temperature sensor, EEPROM for configuration, and a coin-cell for the real-time clock. The rugged enclosure measures 225 × 135 × 83mm and operates from −25°C to +55°C with thermal monitoring.

Pricing starts at €6,085 for the base model with the Jetson T5000 and 256GB SSD, rising to €6,850 for 2TB storage. Configurations with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or 4G/5G connectivity range from €7,000 to €7,400.
