Deniz Hümmet erzielte am 16. Mai das einzige Tor beim 1:0-Sieg von Gamba Osaka gegen Al-Nassr im Finale der AFC Champions League Two 2026. Das Ergebnis verwehrte Cristiano Ronaldo und seinem saudischen Team den kontinentalen Titel im King Saud University Stadium in Riad.

Hümmet traf in der 30. Minute, nachdem er einen Pass des ehemaligen Elfsborg-Spielers Issam Jebali im Strafraum erhalten hatte. Der in Malmö geborene Stürmer drehte sich und schoss den Ball flach in die Ecke, um den Sieg für den japanischen Verein zu sichern.
