Deniz Hümmet scored the only goal as Gamba Osaka defeated Al-Nassr 1-0 in the 2026 AFC Champions League Two final on May 16. The result denied Cristiano Ronaldo and his Saudi side a continental title at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
Hümmet struck in the 30th minute after collecting a pass from former Elfsborg player Issam Jebali inside the box. The Malmö-born forward swivelled and fired a low shot into the corner to secure the win for the Japanese club. Around 100 Gamba Osaka supporters had made the long journey from Japan to witness the victory.
