Gorillaz-Ausstellung „House of Kong“ kommt nach New York

Gorillaz haben angekündigt, dass ihre immersive Ausstellung „House of Kong“ im September für eine begrenzte Zeit in New York eröffnet wird. Die Schau startete letztes Jahr erstmals in London im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum der Band.

Die Ausstellung findet im Agger Fish Building im Brooklyn Navy Yard statt. Sie öffnet am 1. September und läuft bis zum 28. September.

Der allgemeine Ticketverkauf beginnt am 30. Juni um 10 Uhr Ortszeit, wobei die Preise bei 50 Dollar beginnen. Fans, die bis zum 25. Juni eine „Kong Card“ erworben haben, erhalten ab dem 29. Juni um 10 Uhr Zugang zum Vorverkauf.

Die New Yorker Termine folgen auf die ursprüngliche Laufzeit in der Londoner Copper Box Arena. Die Ausstellung lädt Fans dazu ein, 25 Jahre Gorillaz-Geschichte, Kunstwerke, Musik, Charaktere und Mythologie zu erkunden.

Gorillaz treten am 29. September im Madison Square Garden im Rahmen ihrer „The Mountain“-Tour auf, einen Tag nach Ende der Ausstellung.

Radiohead have announced a new audiovisual installation titled Motion Picture House: Kid A Mnesia, set to premiere at Coachella this weekend. The Prodigy will headline a show at Under The K Bridge in Brooklyn on September 25 as part of the 2026 CBGB Festival. The performance marks the electronic band's first New York concert in 17 years.
