Hisense unveils U7 and U6 MiniLED TVs for 2026

Hisense has introduced its 2026 MiniLED TV lineup, featuring the U7 and U6 series with full-array local dimming and quantum dot color technology. These models serve as more affordable options compared to the flagship UR8 announced at CES 2026. The U7 starts at $1,300 for a 55-inch model and is available in sizes up to 116 inches.

Hisense, a Chinese electronics company, has launched the U7 and U6 series as part of its MiniLED TV range for 2026. These televisions incorporate Hi-QLED MiniLED backlights with full-array local dimming, which adjusts the backlight in specific zones to improve contrast. Both series also use quantum dot color for enhanced picture quality.

The U7 model is positioned to deliver "MiniLED performance typically reserved for higher price tiers," according to Hisense. It includes a native 165Hz refresh rate and picture processing powered by the Hi-View AI Engine Pro. Audio comes from a 50-watt, 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound system. Buyers can choose between Google TV in the U7SG variant or Fire TV in the U7SF. Sizes range from 55 to 116 inches, with prices starting at $1,300 for the 55-inch U7SG, $1,500 for 65 inches, $2,500 for 75 and 86 inches, $4,500 for 100 inches, and $20,000 for 116 inches.

The U6 series offers similar features, including Hi-QLED MiniLED with full-array local dimming, quantum dot color, and an AI picture mode. It has a sound system with an onboard subwoofer and runs on Fire TV. Available sizes go from 55 to 100 inches.

Hisense notes that in 2025, its entry-level QD7 model received CNET's best budget TV award, suggesting strong value in these midrange options. The TVs are beginning to roll out, though Best Buy lists them as "Coming Soon." Hisense indicates availability soon on Amazon and other retailers, with the U6 arriving in the coming weeks.
