HV71 gab am Sonntag bekannt, dass sich die Wege des Vereins und von Brännström nach drei gemeinsamen Spielzeiten trennen. Der Stürmer war vor der Saison 2023/24 mit einem Dreijahresvertrag zum Team zurückgekehrt, der jedoch aufgrund einer schweren Oberkörperverletzung, die er sich im Oktober gegen Luleå zugezogen hatte, nicht verlängert wird.

Forward Isac Brännström has agreed to rejoin Luleå Hockey on a one-year contract. The 27-year-old returns after leaving the club following the 2022/23 season.

Swedish club Brynäs has shown strong interest in 23-year-old forward Oskar Olausson, according to Expressen. The player, who has struggled for ice time in North America, is being shopped widely on the market. A return to HV71, his former club, is not considered certain.

Luleå Hockey forward Mathias Bromé must decide within two weeks whether to honor his contract through 2028 or accept an overseas offer. The 31-year-old Swede, who joined Luleå after a stint in Örebro, won the SM-guld in his first season there. A contract clause allows him to depart for abroad by May 1.
