JiyongKim and PUMA unveil CELL GEO 1 sneaker with decaying paper print

Korean designer JiyongKim has partnered with PUMA on a new version of the CELL GEO 1 sneaker. The collaboration draws from the look of aged and mold-stained paper.

The sneaker features an all-over print that mimics sheets of paper altered by dirt, mold, moisture and time. No two pairs are identical due to the organic pattern.

It was unveiled at Pitti Uomo 110. The shoes are scheduled to release in November, along with a matching shoebox that carries the same worn aesthetic.

JiyongKim has long incorporated themes of natural decay and imperfection into his work through sun-bleaching techniques and found objects. This project continues that approach with PUMA.
