Konosuke Takeshita to face Kaisei Takechi at Wrestle Peter Pan 2026

DDT Pro-Wrestling has announced a match between NJPW World Television Champion Konosuke Takeshita and former KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion Kaisei Takechi for its Wrestle Peter Pan 2026 event. The bout is set for August 11 at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo. The matchup was revealed during DDT's event on March 22.

DDT Pro-Wrestling revealed the first match for its annual Wrestle Peter Pan show during its March 22 event. Reigning NJPW World Television Champion Konosuke Takeshita will take on Kaisei Takechi, known as “THE RAMPAGE” Kaisei Takechi, in a one-on-one duel described as a dramatic dream match. The event is scheduled for August 11—a Tuesday holiday—at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, with a start time of 14:00. An official announcement from DDT Pro-Wrestling's Twitter account stated: “THE RAMPAGE” Kaisei Takechi expresses fervent desire for a showdown, a fateful one-on-one duel with this man comes to fruition! Konosuke Takeshita is under contract with DDT, AEW, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Takechi previously held the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship. The wrestlers were originally set to team together in January, but Takechi was removed from that show due to pink eye. Wrestle Peter Pan is a summer staple for DDT Pro-Wrestling, held at the iconic Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.
