Man charged with DWI after picking up friend from jail

A 25-year-old New York man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after driving to a local jail to collect his friend, who had been detained on similar charges.

Antone Gilonna was taken into custody on Saturday at the Montgomery County Jail in Fultonville, New York. He had arrived to retrieve a friend arrested earlier for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Deputies suspected Gilonna was intoxicated and administered a field sobriety test, which he failed.
