MLB Pipeline releases 2026 mock draft projections

MLB Pipeline published its latest mock draft for the 2026 MLB Draft on June 11. The projection outlines the top 40 selections ahead of the event scheduled for July 11-12.

The top pick is projected for the Chicago White Sox, who are expected to select shortstop Roch Cholowsky from UCLA. The Tampa Bay Rays follow with high school shortstop Grady Emerson from Fort Worth, Texas.

The Minnesota Twins are slotted to take catcher Vahn Lackey from Georgia Tech at No. 3. Subsequent early selections include high school shortstop Jacob Lombard to the San Francisco Giants and right-hander Jackson Flora from UC Santa Barbara to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Later first-round projections feature outfielder Eric Booth Jr. to the Kansas City Royals and second baseman Chris Hacopian from Texas A&M to the Athletics. The mock draft notes several alternates remain possible at each spot.
