Mount Academys Brooke Huleatt stellt Section 9-Hallenrekord über 200 m auf

Brooke Huleatt, eine Seniorin im Mädchen-Innenleichterzeug-Team der Mount Academy, stellte am 7. Februar bei den Purple Champions High School Invitational ein Section 9-Hallenrekord von 24,67 Sekunden über 200 Meter auf. Es ist das erste Mal, dass eine weibliche Athletin in Section 9 unter 25 Sekunden in dieser Disziplin gelaufen ist. Huleatts Leistung ist zudem die zweitschnellste Zeit im Bundesstaat in diesem Jahr.

Der rekordverdächtige Lauf fand im Nike Indoor Track and Field Center im The Armory in New York City statt. Huleatt übertraf das vorherige Section 9-Hallenrekord, das seit 15 Jahren bestand, seit es bei den New Balance Nationals aufgestellt worden war.
