Audio recordings of two 2022 voice messages from Ari Emanuel to Vince McMahon have been made public. The messages were left shortly after McMahon’s initial retirement from WWE.
POST Wrestling obtained the audio of messages sent in September 2022. In the first message from September 16, Emanuel discussed legal matters with McMahon, noting connections at the Department of Justice and offering indemnification.
A second message on September 19 urged a meeting to address issues including potential DOJ matters. McMahon responded in December 2022 by leaving a message for banker Jeff Sine, stating he planned to proceed with a deal involving Ari.
The messages preceded the April 2023 announcement of the WWE and UFC merger under TKO. A related shareholder lawsuit was later settled before trial.
