Over The Moon event kicks off New York bridal fashion week

A shopping soirée at Manolo Blahnik's Madison Avenue store marked the start of New York Bridal Fashion Week. Hosted by Over The Moon, the fifth annual event on March 17 featured previews of new collections and celebrity guests. Brides-to-be and industry insiders enjoyed cocktails, customizations, and exclusive pieces.

On March 17, coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day, the Manolo Blahnik boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City hosted the fifth annual Over The Moon x Manolo Blahnik shopping soirée. The event served as a pre–New York Bridal Fashion Week fete, ushering in wedding season with a cocktail party for brides-to-be and wedding industry insiders, including planner Norma Cohen and her daughter Lydia, planner Veronica Joy, and Over The Moon’s Savannah Rockwin, who bought her first pair of Manolos for a personal milestone. Author Candace Bushnell also attended, along with recent bride Zaye de Givenchy, brides-to-be Hope LaVine and Madelyn Wysner, and content creators Ashley Avignone, Aly Klima, Janny Kim, and Samantha Varvel. Designer Jennifer Behr brought her cavapoo Alice, who received water from a Manolo Blahnik dog bowl. Guests previewed the exclusive Lein for Over The Moon capsule, designed by Meredith Stoecklein with six made-to-order looks; Over The Moon founder and Vogue editor Alexandra Macon wore the Beau Crystal Lattice Dress. Fine jewelry from LaPietra, launched by former Vogue editors Jessica Sailer Van Lith and Christina Caldwell, featured cultured old mine–cut diamonds. Attendees tried Manolo Blahnik heels, sandals, flats, and the brand’s newest wedding collection. A “Something Blue Bar” offered gifts from Jo Malone, Dear Sundays, Smythson, 111Skin, Chord by Mary Orton, Mrs. Box, and Monogram Mary; hairstylists Valery Joseph and Meg Workman used 111Skin for models. Cocktails included Wilde Irish Gin signatures like the OTM Moonlit Gimlet and Blahnik & Tonic, plus Avaline Wine. A shoe customization station by P.S. Calligraphy allowed gold foil monograms; Lydia inscribed “Don’t” and “Trip” on a pair. The party continued after the store closed.
