Panasonic unveils Lumix L10 with advanced AF and 5.6K video for 25th anniversary

Panasonic has introduced the Lumix L10 compact camera to mark the 25th anniversary of its Lumix brand. The new model features a 20.4-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor and a fixed Leica lens, with pricing starting at $1,499.

The camera includes a phase-detect autofocus system with 779 points and supports subject tracking for eyes, faces, animals, and vehicles. It offers up to 30 frames per second in electronic shutter mode and includes optical stabilization. Video capabilities reach 5.6K resolution at 60 frames per second or 4K at 120 frames per second, with 4:2:2 10-bit capture and V-Log support. The launch revives an iconic line of premium compacts and packs the company's most powerful sensor and processor into a Micro Four Thirds body, positioning the model for strong market reception according to early assessments.
