The Red Sox improved to 1-0 this season in games where they trailed by three runs. They had been 0-34 in such situations entering the contest.
Garrett Whitlock and Aroldis Chapman closed out the final two innings for Boston. The victory marked the team's first 12-game winning streak since June 2006.
