Roku offers extended holiday streaming deals

Even after Black Friday, Roku continues to provide discounts on various streaming services through early next year. Users with Roku devices can access free trials and reduced rates on popular platforms like Apple TV and Howdy. These promotions aim to keep entertainment affordable during the holiday season.

Roku has rolled out a series of streaming deals that extend beyond the typical Black Friday period, lasting into January. These offers are accessible exclusively through Roku devices and apps, encouraging users to sign up directly on the platform.

A standout promotion is three months of free access to Apple TV, previously known as Apple TV Plus, which normally costs $13 per month. This deal is available until January 19. For Roku's own ad-free service, Howdy, subscribers can get the first two months at $1 each, down from the usual $3 monthly fee, with the offer expiring on January 2.

Budget-conscious viewers have options too. Frndly TV, a live TV streaming service with a Classic plan priced at $11 per month, offers a 30-day free trial ending January 5. On The Roku Channel, several premium add-ons are discounted to $2 per month for the first two months. This includes Hallmark Plus (regularly $8), Starz ($11), BET Plus ($6), Lifetime Movie Club ($5), Sundance Now ($7), Acorn TV ($9), All Reality ($5), UP Faith & Family ($6), and A&E Crime Central ($6).

One exception is Screambox, available at $3 per month for a full year, compared to its standard $5 rate. Most of these discounts conclude on January 2, except for the extended Apple TV and Frndly TV trials. These promotions provide significant savings for Roku users looking to expand their streaming libraries without long-term commitments.
