Die Emo-Band Turnover aus Virginia geht mit ihrem neuen Album Down on Earth unabhängige Wege. Die Veröffentlichung folgt auf das 2022 erschienene Werk Myself in the Way und wird von zwei neuen Singles begleitet.

Turnover haben den langjährigen Toningenieur Zac Montez für die Produktion des Albums gewonnen. Die Band veröffentlichte die Stücke Nightjar sowie I See You and Realize, um die Ankündigung zu begleiten. Zu Nightjar wurde ein Video von Regisseur Ben Turok gedreht, das die Flucht aus der Stadt aufs Land zeigt. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Nick Waplington; die vollständige Titelliste umfasst zehn Songs, darunter Wheelie for No One und Off Into the Lonesome Sky.
