Truck Violence unterschreiben bei The Flenser für zweites Album

Die Post-Hardcore-Band Truck Violence aus Montreal hat für ihr zweites Album, The Weathervane Is My Body, bei The Flenser unterschrieben; die Veröffentlichung ist für den 26. Juni geplant. Die Gruppe veröffentlichte die erste Single 'New Jesus' zusammen mit einem von Kirill Sommer gedrehten Musikvideo. Das Album reflektiert ihre Anpassung an das Stadtleben nach dem Umzug aus dem ländlichen Alberta.

Truck Violence, gegründet von dem Gitarristen und Banjospieler Paul Lecours und der Sängerin und Dichterin Karsyn Henderson, zogen als Teenager von den Prärien Albertas nach Montreal. Später kamen Bassist Chris Clegg und Schlagzeuger Thomas Hart hinzu. Das Debütalbum der Band, Violence, erschien 2024 bei Mothland und erhielt eine Vinyl-Neuauflage über Southern Lord. Ihr neues Album fängt laut Aussagen der Band, die am 14. April über Pitchfork geteilt wurden, die Herausforderungen der urbanen Anpassung ein.
