Truck Violence signe avec The Flenser pour son deuxième album

Le groupe de post-hardcore montréalais Truck Violence a signé avec le label The Flenser pour la sortie de son deuxième album, The Weathervane Is My Body, prévue pour le 26 juin. Le groupe a dévoilé le premier single, 'New Jesus', accompagné d'un clip vidéo réalisé par Kirill Sommer. L'album témoigne de leur adaptation à la vie citadine après avoir quitté les zones rurales de l'Alberta.

Formé par le guitariste et joueur de banjo Paul Lecours et la chanteuse et poétesse Karsyn Henderson, Truck Violence a quitté les prairies de l'Alberta pour Montréal alors qu'ils étaient adolescents. Ils ont plus tard été rejoints par le bassiste Chris Clegg et le batteur Thomas Hart. Le premier album du groupe, Violence, est sorti sur le label Mothland en 2024 et a fait l'objet d'une réédition en vinyle via Southern Lord. Leur nouvel opus retrace les défis liés à l'adaptation urbaine, selon des déclarations du groupe relayées par Pitchfork le 14 avril.
