Juniper Blessing, a 19-year-old University of Washington choir soloist, was stabbed 40 times while doing laundry at a campus housing complex in Seattle. The attack took place around 10 p.m. on May 10 at the Nordheim Court apartment complex. Christopher Leahy, 31, has been charged with first-degree murder in the case.
Police recovered surveillance footage showing Leahy entering the laundry room and looking directly at the camera as Blessing cleaned a dryer lint tray. She suffered wounds to her head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Officers found the camera unplugged but retrieved the video from its memory card.
