Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid model launches in Canada for 2026

The upgraded Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid adventure motorcycle is now available for order in Canada as a 2026 model, with all units reportedly sold out already. This higher-spec version features enhanced suspension, electronics, and fuel capacity, but remains unavailable in the United States for now. Canadian buyers paid a $1,000 deposit for bikes priced at $17,999 CAD, with delivery expected in June 2026.

The Yamaha Tenere 700, an adventure bike powered by the CP2 twin-cylinder engine introduced in 2014, first reached European markets in 2019. North American buyers waited until the 2021 model year, delayed partly by production shifts from Europe to Japan and COVID-related challenges. Yamaha Motor Europe quickly developed variants, including the World Raid edition, which aims to deliver superior performance over the standard T7 through upgrades like improved suspension, advanced electronics, and increased fuel capacity.

For the 2026 model year, Yamaha's Canadian importer announced the World Raid's arrival during the mid-winter motorcycle show circuit. Limited quantities prompted a non-refundable $1,000 CAD deposit, with the total price set at $17,999 CAD, covering freight and pre-delivery inspection but excluding taxes and fees—equivalent to about $13,200 USD. Deliveries are slated for June 2026, though reports indicate the entire Canadian allocation has sold out.

In the US, no official confirmation exists for the model's introduction, despite industry rumors suggesting possible availability around the same timeframe as Canada. Yamaha representatives from both countries have not verified these claims. This situation echoes the 1980s, when Canada served as a testing ground for bikes potentially bound for the American market, sometimes receiving homologation specials unavailable stateside.

If the World Raid does reach US dealerships, an announcement could come soon, but for now, Canadian riders gain first access to this enhanced adventure machine.
