Detroit Red Wings prospect Shai Buium has rejoined the AHL-leading Grand Rapids Griffins after recovering from an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old defenseman made his season debut in a recent home loss and contributed in a road game against the Milwaukee Admirals. The Griffins tied an AHL record for road points streak in that overtime defeat.

The American Hockey League's Player Safety Committee has suspended Grand Rapids Griffins forward Austin Watson for one game following a cross-checking incident. The suspension stems from an event at the end of a game against Iowa on November 28. Watson will miss the Griffins' matchup against Iowa on November 30.
