Belmont Cameli shared the meaning behind Garrett Graham's back tattoo in Prime Video's Off Campus. The Latin phrase reflects the character's determination to earn his achievements. The show also confirmed plans for Season 2.
Garrett's tattoo reads "Nullum Gratuitum Prandium," which translates to "There is no free lunch." Cameli said the idea came from his own high school wrestling team motto.
"It's a core tenet of who [Garrett] is that he refuses to let anything be handed to him," Cameli told Teen Vogue. He added that the placement on Garrett's back allows the phrase to stand out when the jersey comes off.
At the end of Season 1, Garrett and Hannah Wells become a couple. Showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed that both characters will appear in Season 2, though their romance will no longer drive the plot. Allie and Dean will take center stage instead.
