Alabama Shakes announce first album in 11 years

Alabama Shakes will release their new album I Must Be Dreaming on August 28 via Island Records. The record marks the band's first full-length project in 11 years and includes previously released tracks.

The album features 11 tracks, among them the already available songs American Dream and Another Life. A new single titled I Feel Hope Coming is scheduled to arrive this Friday.

Singer Brittany Howard described the title in a statement. She noted it carries a double meaning, reflecting both the world's chaos and its beauty.

The band, consisting of Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell, recorded the album after reuniting for a surprise performance in December 2024. They have toured intermittently since then and continue dates through September.

The full tracklist and remaining tour schedule were also shared with the announcement.
