Alexia Jayy from Team Adam was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 29 during the April 14 finale. She outperformed finalists Lucas West from Team Legend and Mikenley Brown and Liv Ciara from Team Kelly. The victory also secured the first Battle of Champions for coach Adam Levine.
The two-hour finale featured performances from the four remaining contestants. Each finalist sang two solo songs and a duet with their coach: Adam Levine, John Legend or Kelly Clarkson. Carson Daly announced the results at the end of the broadcast, placing Mikenley Brown fourth, Lucas West third and Liv Ciara second before naming Jayy the champion. Team Kelly advanced two contestants to the finale after Clarkson won the previous week's All-Star Showdown, allowing an extra team member. A pre-finale poll of TVLine readers favored Jayy with 58 percent predicting her win, followed by West at 24 percent, Ciara at 16 percent and Brown at 2 percent. Jayy's performances included Lady Marmalade, Adele's One and Only, and a duet of Maroon 5's Sunday Morning with Levine. West sang Foreigner's Cold As Ice and Legend's Ordinary People, while Ciara performed Billie Eilish's The Greatest and Christina Aguilera's What a Girl Wants. Brown delivered Ariana Grande's Almost Is Never Enough and Olivia Dean's Man I Need.
