Italian producers Our Films are partnering with filmmaker Alice Rohrwacher on a new movie based on Italo Calvino's 1957 novel The Baron in the Trees. Rohrwacher will write and direct the project.

Our Films, the company behind the Cannes-winning film Fatherland, announced the collaboration with the Oscar-nominated director. The story centers on a young baron named Cosimo who climbs a tree after being bullied by his sister and refuses to come down again.
