Les producteurs italiens Our Films s'associent à la cinéaste Alice Rohrwacher pour un nouveau film basé sur le roman d'Italo Calvino de 1957, Le Baron perché. Rohrwacher écrira et réalisera le projet.

Our Films, la société derrière le film Fatherland primé à Cannes, a annoncé cette collaboration avec la réalisatrice nommée aux Oscars. L'histoire se concentre sur un jeune baron nommé Cosimo qui grimpe dans un arbre après avoir été malmené par sa sœur et refuse d'en redescendre.
