Randall Hamblen, 50, has been charged with arson and other crimes after authorities say he caused an explosion at his ex-wife's home in Garland County.
Hamblen is accused of driving to the residence on Tallentwood Place on May 20 in a gold 2003 Dodge 1500 pickup truck. He allegedly told a man inside to remove the dogs before igniting something that caused a boom and flames.
Both Hamblen and the other man suffered burns, according to a probable cause affidavit. The defendant has been charged with arson, second-degree battery, aggravated assault, and violation of a protective order. He is held on $100,000 bond.
The charges follow a divorce finalized about 12 days earlier. Hamblen had been served with a protective order in October 2025 after his then-estranged wife reported threats, including messages vowing to burn the house down and warnings of mutually assured destruction.
