Minnesota man sentenced to 15 years for townhome arson

A 23-year-old Minnesota man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's townhome while her family was inside.

Abdirahman Abdi Abdullahi admitted he intended to kill his former girlfriend when he set the Eden Prairie residence ablaze on May 31, 2024. She was not home, but her new boyfriend, his three young children, and her nine-month-old infant were inside the building at the time.
