Bahir Dar International Stadium has reached more than 90 percent completion, with project leaders targeting full readiness by September 2026.
The stadium, under construction by MH Engineering PLC, has moved past foundational work into its finishing phase. Chief executive Messele Haile (PhD) stated that the focus now lies on integrating imported equipment such as lighting systems, electrical networks, and specialised hardware needed for official licensing.
The complex exceeds 90 percent completion, and coordinators aim for delivery in September of this year to support an upcoming tournament. Remaining tasks centre on meeting modern inspection standards rather than basic structural work.
