Bravos de Juárez announced the signing of Mexican forward Luca Martínez Dupuy for the Clausura 2026 tournament. The 24-year-old player, born in San Luis Potosí but trained in Argentina, has represented the Mexican national team and joins to bolster the border team's attack.
Bravos de Juárez has announced a new reinforcement ahead of the Clausura 2026, after qualifying for Liguilla via Play-In in the previous tournament, where they reached the Quarterfinals. It is the forward Luca Martínez Dupuy, who has been a champion in the Argentine league and has worn the Mexican national team jersey. Born in San Luis Potosí, he is 24 years old, but his Argentine parents took him back to Argentina as a child, where he trained and developed his football career. He debuted professionally with Rosario Central, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in 96 matches. Later, he joined Godoy Cruz, playing 33 games and scoring four goals. Although other Liga MX clubs showed interest in his profile, Martínez Dupuy chose the Bravos, where he will compete for the position with Colombian Óscar Estupiñan, who scored eight goals in the previous tournament. The player chose the Mexican national team influenced by his father, Nahuel Darío Martínez, a defender who played in Mexico for the now-defunct Real San Luis and affiliates of América and Toluca. Currently, his father is assistant coach to Juan Pablo Vojvoda at Santos in Brazil. Martínez Dupuy debuted with the Tricolor on May 31, 2024, in a friendly against Bolivia, coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute without scoring.
