Bungie surprised Destiny 2 fans with a farewell gift just before the game entered maintenance mode. The developer shared a redeemable code for a free emblem on X.
Bungie posted the code earlier this week, allowing players to claim the Gloriabundus Emblem through Bungie.net. The emblem features a fortified Destiny logo on a cityscape background and joins the in-game Flair Collection.
On the same day, the studio released Patch 9.7.0.3. This update included bug fixes, higher reputation gains from Vanguard and Crucible Ops activities, and a reversal of a previous change to the Consecrated Mind fight in Pantheon.
Longtime community lead Dylan 'dmg04' Gafner confirmed on X that no further patches are expected beyond regular server maintenance. He noted that the team may address critical issues like game crashes if needed.
Bungie had announced in May that the final update would arrive one month later. The release drew thousands of returning players and received positive feedback for its extensive content.
