A browser-based fan game lets players throw tomatoes at former Bungie CEO Pete Parsons and his collection of classic cars. The title, Pete Carsons: The Final Car, appeared online on July 7, 2026, coinciding with the annual Bungie Day.
The game responds to recent layoffs at Bungie that affected nearly 300 employees, including most of the Destiny 2 team. Parsons departed the studio in 2025 after the company’s $3.6 billion acquisition by Sony in 2022.
Players control tomatoes aimed at Parsons, depicted as a flappy-headed character labeled “Destroyer of Guardians,” along with vehicles named “Crunch Enforcer” and “Micromanager.” The title references reports of Parsons spending millions on classic cars while staff faced cuts.
The game went live via a dedicated website at 10 a.m. PDT on July 7. Remaining Bungie staff have continued limited hotfixes for Destiny 2 amid reduced team capacity following the layoffs.
