Capcom has indicated a strong chance of a Pragmata sequel following the game's sales performance. Corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi cited momentum that exceeded internal expectations.
The company reported 2.5 million units sold for Pragmata since its release earlier this year. Shimauchi attributed part of the success to pre-release marketing and the appeal of the main character, Diana.
He stated that the likelihood of a sequel is high. The comments came after Capcom posted an operating profit of ¥41.1 billion for the quarter ended June.
Director Yonghee Cho expressed interest in a sequel as early as May. Chief operating officer Rob Dyer of Capcom USA also suggested the title could develop into a franchise.
