The Central Bureau of Investigation has revisited the site of Chandranath Rath's murder in Madhyamgram while examining evidence of a contract killing funded by more than Rs 1 crore.
The CBI is investigating the murder of Chandranath Rath, an aide to Suvendu, as a possible contract killing. Investigators are focusing on interstate connections, the use of forged vehicles and the origin of funds exceeding Rs 1 crore.
The probe includes a fresh visit to the shooting location in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Officials are tracing operatives who may have crossed state lines to carry out the operation.
No arrests or final conclusions have been announced in the case so far.
