The zombie thriller Colony topped the weekend box office chart and surpassed 3 million admissions just 10 days after its release.
The Korean film Colony logged 3,474,934 accumulated admissions as of Sunday, adding 971,034 admissions over the weekend.
Directed by Yeon Sang-ho of Train to Busan fame, the movie follows biotechnology professor Se-jeong, played by Jun Ji-hyun, and other survivors fighting to escape a virus-quarantined building. It also stars Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook and Kim Shin-rok.
The film, which premiered at the Midnight Screenings section of the Cannes Film Festival last month, reached the 3-million milestone faster than the 2026 hit The King's Warden. American sci-fi horror Backrooms ranked second with 303,264 admissions, followed by the musical Michael in third place.
