New previews and a trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 have impressed fans with better visuals and storytelling elements. The game is scheduled for release in 2027.
Bandai Namco and developer Dimps revealed fresh details on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 through previews from Summer Game Fest and an updated trailer. The action RPG features higher quality cutscenes compared to prior entries in the series.
Producer Masayuki Hirano confirmed that the late Akira Toriyama contributed to the game's world and lore. "He designed the characters, kind of came up with the setting and the lore in this universe," Hirano said in an interview.
Hirano also addressed post-launch plans. He noted that support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 extended to ten years due to fan demand and expressed hope for similar long-term updates with the new title.
The game was previously known as Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000. Player characters will be voiced for the first time in the series.
