Eight people were injured in a fire that followed a suspected explosion at an apartment facilities office in Gyeongsan, South Korea, on the morning of July 23.
According to police and city officials, the fire started at 8:29 a.m. inside the office where staff and residents had gathered. Elderly residents at a senior center next to the office were also injured, and one person was reported in serious condition.
Witnesses described a person entering the office with flammable material and setting it on fire. Others recalled hearing explosions and seeing multiple people with their bodies on fire running from the building.
Police said they plan to question those at the scene to determine the exact cause.
