England defeated Panama 2-0 and Croatia beat Ghana 2-1 on the final day of the group stage at the 2026 World Cup.
The Three Lions dominated Panama at the MetLife Stadium in New York. Jude Bellingham opened the scoring from a corner in the second half before providing an assist for Harry Kane five minutes later. Kane thus became England’s all-time leading scorer at the World Cup with eleven goals.
Croatia secured qualification against Ghana in Philadelphia. Petar Sucic scored in the 31st minute and Nikola Vlasic added a second in the 83rd. Derrick Luckassen pulled one back for Ghana in the 73rd.
These results leave England top of group L and Croatia in second place. Both teams advance to the round of 16.
