The FBI is investigating eight Steam games that allegedly infected thousands of devices and stole at least $220,000 in cryptocurrency. Agents arrested a 21-year-old man last week in connection with the campaign.
The FBI announced it is seeking victims who downloaded the games BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse, DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi and Tokenova. The games are suspected of carrying malware that accessed roughly 80 crypto wallets between May 2024 and February 2026.
Federal agents arrested Zyaire Dontaevious Zamarion Wilkins on July 14. They accuse him of financing the malware, procuring it and helping to market the infected titles through Discord, Telegram, X and LinkedIn.
Investigators traced Bitcoin payments from a linked wallet to purchases of Uber Eats gift cards. Subpoena records reportedly connected the deliveries to addresses associated with Wilkins.
One title, PirateFi, was available on Steam for six days in February 2025 and contained the Vidar infostealer, according to an earlier cyber advisory. The complaint notes that approved games on the platform can receive updates without further review.
