Fech president-elect calls for self-criticism from the left

Laura Mlynarz, president-elect of the University of Chile Student Federation, urged the left to engage in self-criticism for sidelining social organizations.

In an interview aired on May 22 on La Tercera’s Desde la Redacción program, Mlynarz said the federation aims to voice student discussions rather than amplify empty slogans.

The leader, a member of the Communist Youth, stressed the importance of students reclaiming their own agenda and highlighted the role of unity in its broadest sense.

Mlynarz added that the left must pay greater attention to the social bases that drove the program of the last period.
