First look at François Arnaud in upcoming survival thriller

François Arnaud, known for his role in the series Heated Rivalry, stars in the new survival thriller Someone’s Daughter. The film, directed by Wiebke von Carolsfeld, has wrapped production and is being launched for world sales at the European Film Market in Berlin. It features Arnaud alongside Pascale Bussières, Michael Greyeyes, and Peter Outerbridge.

François Arnaud recently completed work on Someone’s Daughter, a survival thriller written and directed by Wiebke von Carolsfeld, with co-writing by Doug Taylor. The movie follows Sam, a criminal defense lawyer in her 50s, who is kidnapped and left on a remote island with Paul, a former client she defended a decade ago against accusations of raping the kidnapper’s daughter. As they fight to survive in the harsh Canadian backcountry, an uneasy bond develops, but Paul’s increasingly toxic behavior forces Sam into a difficult decision.

Arnaud plays Paul, opposite Pascale Bussières as Sam, with Michael Greyeyes and Peter Outerbridge also starring. The production is handled by Frederic Bohbot and Kacim Steets Azouz, with Robert Vroom as executive producer. Canadian company Filmoption is presenting the film for world sales at this week’s European Film Market in Berlin.

Von Carolsfeld’s earlier works include the film Marion Bridge, featuring Molly Parker and Elliot Page; Stay, with Taylor Schilling, Aidan Quinn, and Barry Keoghan; and The Saver, starring Imajyn Cardinal. Arnaud is fresh from portraying Scott Hunter in the hit series Heated Rivalry and is also recognized for his role in The Borgias.

The first-look images highlight Arnaud’s involvement in this tense drama set in rugged wilderness.
