The Finance Ministry said Friday it will seek to replace the heads of the Government Employees Pension Service and the Korea International Cooperation Agency following a performance review.
The Ownership Steering Committee reviewed the performance of 88 state-run firms and assessed 82 agency heads. Seven received the lowest grade under the six-tier system, but only two heads are subject to dismissal recommendations.
Warnings were also issued to 17 agency heads who received a D grade and to the heads of 11 organizations that experienced fatal workplace accidents.
The evaluation focused on financial health, productivity, social responsibility in safety and green initiatives, and use of Artificial Intelligence for innovation.
