Grupo Firme performed the first of two shows at Mexico City's GNP Seguros Stadium on July 17, setting a new attendance record for a Regional Mexican artist at the venue. The Tijuana-based group drew over 60,000 fans during the concert, part of its La Última Peda Tour.
The band, which previously held the venue record with nine shows since its debut there in 2022, reached 11 performances after the July 18 concert. Manager Isael Gutiérrez noted the tour's success across Mexico, Central America and South America after U.S. visa issues forced cancellations last year.
Special guests joined the performance, including Luis Alfonso Partida, known as El Yaki, who performed their collaboration "Dile a Tu Orgullo." Luis Ángel, known as El Flaco, performed three songs including "Mi Último Deseo," prompting a large sing-along from the crowd.
Joss Favela appeared for an acoustic version of "El Beneficio de la Duda," while Los Ángeles de Charly performed cumbia songs such as "Me Volví a Acordar de Ti." Lead singer Eduin Caz wore an Aztec-inspired outfit during "Alégale al Umpire."
Gutiérrez said the group has sold 80 percent of tickets for its upcoming September dates in Spain.
