Guillermo del Toro was awarded a BFI Fellowship in London earlier this week. During a career talk at BFI Southbank on May 8, the filmmaker announced plans for a stop-motion adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's novel The Buried Giant.
The Mexican director received the British Film Institute’s highest honor at a ceremony attended by Cate Blanchett. To mark the occasion, del Toro joined film historian Jason Wood for an onstage discussion covering his early life in Guadalajara and his approach to design and storytelling.
