Storms hit Pernambuco in recent days, causing landslides, flooding and flash floods in 18 municipalities, including Goiana, Limoeiro, Timbaúba, Igarassu, Olinda, Paulista, Camaragibe, Recife, Glória do Goitá, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Vicência, Nazaré da Mata, Aliança, Itambé, Moreno, Paudalho, Pombos and São Lourenço da Mata.
The latest bulletin from Pernambuco's Executive Secretariat for Protection and Civil Defense (SEPDEC) reports 6 deaths, 1,632 homeless, 7,908 displaced and over 4,400 aid items delivered. Three victims were from one family in a landslide: Jaqueline Soares da Silva, 24, and son Riquelmy, 6, died on site; baby Maria Helena, 1, died in hospital. In Olinda, a 20-year-old mother and her 6-month-old baby were found dead after a barrier collapse. A man died in a collapse in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe.

Folha reported a total of 8 deaths in Pernambuco and Paraíba, with about 10,700 affected in Pernambuco, though SEPDEC confirms 6 in the state. In Paraíba, 2 deaths in Guarabira and public calamity declared by Governor Lucas Ribeiro.
Responses include rescues by Firefighters (807 in PE, 306 in PB), water supply restoration in cities like Recife and Olinda, clearance of BR-101 and BR-408 highways, and federal support from the Ministry of Integration. Forecast calls for moderate rains in coming days, with moderate risk per Cemaden.
